CATCH UP

it's been a while folks...so here's what's happening in rapid fire succession.

SINISTER??
bc3 has been trying to teach the girls how to put their shoes on. they can't get the concept of right foot and left foot... instead they keep saying, "no daddy, it's right foot, wrong foot!" how freakin' cute is that... right foot, wrong foot. so instead bc3 has taught them dexter and sinister... right and left in latin.

BARBIE'S CRYING
we're going through the trials of potty training. we've gone back and forth between diapers, and pull ups with little success. so yesterday i took a chance. it was a beautiful day out, and i decided since we'd be outside most of the day, i'd put underwear on them. barbie underwear. barbies face featured front and center on the pantie.. barbie, in their business. totally weird. anyway, i told them they have to tell mommy if they have to potty, otherwise if they pee pee their underwear, barbie will cry....my experiment of course didn't work. they both peed themselves. barbie was indeed, crying yellow tears.

SLEEP AT LAST
4 weeks ago, we freed ourselves of the tyranny of the pacifiers. it's been a long and trying time for us. for 3 weeks straight they screamed themselves hysterical. one night, stubborn lily cried for 2 hours straight. we were ruining our good sleeping habits by letting them fall asleep in our beds, then transferring them into their cribs... we'd be awaken in the middle of the night with howling, and then sleep the rest of the night with a baby, maybe 2 between us. it was a living nightmare. we were zombies. then we rediscovered....hylands calms forte. homeopathic magic sleepy night night pills. i'm buying stock in hylands as we speak and stocking bottles by the dozen. sleep at last, sleep at last, thank god all mighty we have sleep at last!

MIMICS
lily- screaming her head off, "i don't want those jammas. i want big girl jammas."
pearl- "mommy, i do not like lily's behavior."
me- "neither do i pearl, neither do i."

NEW OBSESSION
glee.. watch it. you heard it here. yes, i'm still into friday night lights... an all of 5 people watch that show. but glee is good. it's really good. i've been listening to the glee version of journey's DON'T STOP BELIEVING on constant repeat on my ipod. unfortunately, they put one teaser episode on and it doesn't start in earnest till the fall... but, you have all summer to watch the one episode online. seriously.. i mean it...don't be a loser. i'm taking to you. you know who you are.

NEW GUILTY OBSESSION
i know my brain cells are dying, melting, screaming for mercy. but i continue to watch....I'M A CELEBRITY, GET ME OUT OF HERE. and of course the ultimate, check your brain at the door...THE HILLS.

THE BIG WIPE SHIP
we're taking them on a cruise.. them meaning them... the girls. we need a vacation. we can't leave them at the kennel, so they'll have to come with us. they love boats, they love the ocean...the boat is like a floating daycare to me, complete with kids camp that runs from 9am-10pm, and an adult pool and all you can eat shrimp. we use empty threats with them daily. "if you're not good, you can't go on the ship.. only good girls can go on the ship and eat shrimp." as if we'd have any way to back up our threats, like i said, we can't leave them at the kennel. and i'm already paying for their shrimp. they do love their shrimp.

Have to comment on your girls with their babbie underwear....brought back some memories of my twins when they started the underwear thing. Major mess city...but somehow you get use to it and through it. Enjoy them. My twins just turned 7 and it makes me cry when I think about how fast it has gone by.
