HOT ZONE

i have experienced three new things this week... bronchitis and ear infections, two of them.. one in each ear. i have never in my life contracted either of these ailments, and this week, i got them both...at the same time.

what's different? the girls first 3 months in daycare. they run off everyday to do GOD KNOWS WHAT?? because everyday i ask them what they did in "school" and everyday they reply the same thing..."we sleeping mommy!" they say it as if "sleeping" at daycare were the most brilliant and exciting sleeping they have ever slept. is that what i pay another mortgage for.. sleeping? wanna know what else i pay for?

i also pay for lethal, deadly, atomic, wipe out the species, gird your loins kid germs!

and when i'm floored by those kid germs, i also have the pleasure of watching my own kids, who are not wiped out like me... nay, they are not. they have just enough bacterial infection to warrant a temperature and a cough, just enough for us to get that call, "you need to come pick up lily and pearl." DAMN, bc3 forgot to give them that morning dose of tylenol which would have stemmed the tide till noon... but their systems have immunity so no, they are not wiped out, they are boisterous, happy in fact that they get to, "stay home with mommy!!"
they also decide to....
"climb in your bed, mommy(you didn't want to sleep, did you?)!!"
"want some tea, mommy(i spilt mine all over the couch!?)"
"i sit in your lap, mommy (as you hack out your lungs!)"
"you don't feel well, mommy? (i feel well, mommy!)

i look forward to wooping cough, scabies, polio, hand foot mouth, coxsackie, rsv, chicken pox, and oh! the beloved pink eye.
