MOM'S THE WORD

so i realized i have not posted in a while... the problem? the girls have nothing to say. literally.

we are at an impasse. they are striking. we have not gotten past the very frequently used, and ubiquitous, "NO!" i've gotten a very special (ie. short bus- sorry if that offends!) "NICE!" pearl said mama for 1 day, then never was it to pass her lips again.

that's it!!

i'm thinking of having them tested. i know everyone's been telling me to be patient, to wait. that twins take longer, they have their own special language. and they understand perfectly what we say, so communication currently is a one way street.. but seriously, enough's enough. they are 17 months and i expect, no, i demand, even a simple "ba ba!"
an "i love you so much, mom!",
maybe "you are the center of my world, mother!" ,
or perhaps the very easy, "i miss you every second of the day while you are gone at work, and you are my favorite person in the whole world!!"

it's not so much to ask.

i could blog AGAIN about the disasterous meal we had with them at a local french restaurant. i could write about poop, peeing, any manner of bodily functions.. but we've all been there, and we'll go there again eventually. i could tell you about the fabulous vacation we're going to take where they provide you with a vacation nanny!! yes, you heard me right! a vacation nanny! (don't be jealous of our posh lifestyle!) but this does not a full blog post make!

so until they speak, i have nothing else to say. until then, i can not report of the adorable things that lily and pearl blurted out inappropriately at the grocery store check out... until then, i strike too. i'll post photo's, maybe even a video... but no more stories until they end this verbal blackout.

blame them... don't come crying to me.
